Thomas is a councillor in the Romsey and Southampton North constituency and lives in Bassett with his wife Amy. Thomas grew up in the countryside and understands both the issues that face Southampton - and the issues facing Romsey and our rural Test Valley communities. He understands the whole constituency and will be able to win in both urban and rural areas.

Thomas has a strong track record of beating Labour and the Tories. As an experienced campaign manager he has elected hundreds of councillors across Somerset and Southampton. He was elected in Swaythling last May after gaining the seat off Labour from 3rd place. Winning this constituency is going to be hard - we need a candidate like Thomas who knows how to win.

Trust in politics is at an all time low. Many people feel that politics isn’t working for them - and sadly they are often right. Thomas will be a visible, decent MP and will stand up for Liberal Democrat values. He will be a strong advocate for the NHS, our beautiful environment, and for political reform like proportional representation to restore trust in politics.
